Inside Out Tours narrates the history and particulars about New York’s famous landmark, the Brooklyn Bridge in the Brooklyn Bridge and DUMBO tour.  This lively walking tour takes you to the pedestrian walkway of the Brooklyn Bridge, as a guide shows you the beautiful design and storied history. The one mile walk across the Brooklyn Bridge from Manhattan offers magnificent views of the New York Skyline, and once you arrive in Brooklyn’s DUMBO (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass) neighborhood, you’ll get to explore the shopping boutiques, pizza places, desserts, galleries, and picturesque sights the area is known for.

  • At the time of completion in 1883, it was longest suspension bridge in the United States, and you’ll get to walk through the beautifully designed structure.
  • Listen to the dramatic tales of the NY landmark, as it took 18 years to finish from initial design to opening day.
  • Once in DUMBO, visit Grimaldi’s Pizza, Old Fulton Street, and Brooklyn Bridge Park for great views of Manhattan under the Brooklyn Bridge.
  • Reservations are only accepted early, so call ahead and reserve your spot on the tour.
  • The Inside Out Tours are walking tours, so you’ll probably want to bring your walking shoes.
  • Rain or shine, the tours carry on, so review the forecast and wear appropriate clothing.
  • Arrive at least 15 minutes early to the meeting place, which is in front of Tweed Courthouse.
  • For drastic inclement weather, call to see if the tour was canceled.
  • Kids four years and under are free.
