Zarkana

"The Last Chance to See Zarkana in New York!"

This summer is the last opportunity to catch the fantastic world of Zarkana in New York City at Radio City Music Hall. Welcome to Zarkana, a fantastically surreal adventure that takes you into a gloriously bizarre world. The story follows the adventures of Zark, a magician who realizes he has no more powers when he loses his one true love. Heartbroken, he begs for her return and is taken down a rabbit hole into a mysterious land inhabited by strange and wonderful creatures. Along the way, heart-stopping and highly acrobatic feats are woven into the story, along with thrilling interactive multimedia moments.

Daredevils walk on perilously high wires, actors whoosh through the air, and surprises lurk around every corner. Directed by internationally acclaimed François Girard (The Red Violin, Silk), Zarkana features a whopping 71 international artists. What’s more, the public spaces of Radio City have been transformed into this fantastical otherworld, so you’re pulled into the story the minute you step through the doors. The original music is composed by Nick Littlemore, a protégé of Sir Elton John.

Zarkana is in its FINAL weeks in New York and anyone who's ever had a Cirque du Soleil experience knows they're in for something unforgettable and one-of-a-kind; Zarkana absolutely delivers on that note. Hurry, this is the last opportunity to see Zarkana in New York City at the Radio City Music Hall before moving to its new permanent residence in Las Vegas.  Locals and visitors alike agree; it has all the elements that have made Cirque shows an international phenomenon. There are stunning sets and costumes, soaring original music, an epic sweep and scale to the entire thing. Visually, Cirque is awfully hard to beat. And then there’s the story. Like most Cirque shows, most of the story is communicated through visual storytelling. So that means it’s incredibly universal.

No matter where you’re from, no matter how young or old you are, and no matter whether you even speak English well or not, you'll be able to follow along and get swept up in the magic. And then there are the acrobats. Cirque built its reputation on stunning circus-like acts that revolve around human strength, agility and daring. You'll see acrobats and daredevils do things you never thought possible – or never imagined. Some moments are akin to something you might see in a circus and some are closer to dance. But they’re all gasp-inducing and heart-stopping. And the scale here is hugely impressive, with a cast of 71 bringing this grand spectacle to life – on one of the largest stages in the world.  Don’t miss Zarkana in New York City.
