ELF

"A Splashy, Peppy, Sugar-Sprinkled Holiday Entertainment!"

Get ready for a larger-than-life adventure for the entire family as Elf returns to Broadway just in time for the holiday season with a nine-week run at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. Based on the hit Hollywood film starring Will Ferrell, Elf tells the story of Buddy, a young orphan who finds his way to the North Pole after mistakenly crawling into Santa’s bag of gifts. Buddy isn’t aware that he’s actually a human until his poor toy-making skills and gigantic size force him to face the truth. After getting Santa’s permission, Buddy goes to New York City to find his birth father and his true identity. But it’s a rude awakening for Buddy when he realizes his dad is on the naughty list and his stepbrother doesn’t even believe in Santa. Now it’s up to Buddy to show his birth family that Santa does exist and help New York rediscover the true meaning of Christmas.

Elf is certain to delight theatergoers looking for great Christmas in New York City musical that they can see for less with tickets from BestofNewYork.com. This NY production is full of all-star talent with a creative team featuring Tony Award-winning director/choreographer Casey Nicholaw (The Book of Mormon, Spamalot, The Drowsy Chaperone), Tony-winning book writers Thomas Meehan (The Producers) and Bob Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone) and Tony-nominated songwriters Matthew Skylar and Chad Beguilin (The Wedding Singer). The actors are also among the best on Broadway with Tony Award winner Beth Leavel (The Drowsy Chaperone) reprising her role as Emily Hobbs, Tony nominee Mark Jacoby (Show Boat) as Walter Hobbs, Jordan Gelber (Avenue Q, All My Sons) as Buddy and Wayne Knight (Newman on “Seinfeld”) playing the role of Santa Claus.

Christmastime in New York City simply has a different feel about it than anyplace else. And this is a Broadway musical that fits perfectly with that setting to put the whole family in the holiday spirit. Elf’s music is fun and will have everyone humming along, while the jokes will have children to grandparents laughing out loud. And if that doesn’t mesmerize everyone, a finale filled with snow in the theater will leave you spellbound. Everybody will be full of holiday spirit when they watch Elf!
