Relive Beatlemania at Madame Tussauds

In the history of Rock & Roll, there’s arguably no image more iconic than the Beatles’ Abbey Road album cover, which features the Fab Four walking single-file across a North London street, with John Lennon in the lead and Paul McCartney shoeless.

In fact, the cover picture is so iconic, the crosswalk where it was photographed has become a mecca for Beatles fans who want to recreate the album cover, much to the chagrin of impatient drivers weary of braking for snap-happy fans!

But you don’t have to endanger your life (or endure annoyed honking!) to shoot your own Abbey Road cover. For a limited time, you can join the best selling band in history on that famed crosswalk, at Madame Tussauds in Times Square, where wax figures of George, John, Paul and Ringo are on display through Sept. 5, 2012.

This interactive traveling exhibit features wax figures of the Beatles styled and posed as we all know them from the 1969 album that Rolling Stone still ranks as one of the best rock albums of all time. Visitors can get in line with John, Paul, George and Ringo to create a customized image of their own at Madame Tussauds New York.

Madame Tussauds New York is also home to unbelievably lifelike wax figures of dozens of Hollywood celebrities, historical figures and sports stars. At the New York Madame Tussauds, you can rub elbows with everyone from Lady Gaga to President Barack Obama. You can scare yourself silly in the live-action SCREAM exhibit, or test your mettle in the Sports Zone, where you can pitch to New York Yankee Derek Jeter, shoot hoops with Kareem Abdul Jabbar, or trade a few punches with legendary heavyweight Evander Holyfield.
